Altris Named on the 2026 Global Cleantech 100

Altris, the Swedish sodium-ion battery developer, has been named on Cleantech Group’s 2026 Global Cleantech 100. The annual list recognizes companies poised to deliver market-ready solutions that advance a cleaner, more resilient global future.

Global Cleantech 100

Following a year marked by geopolitical volatility, growth in cleantech is increasingly concentrating around themes such as AI infrastructure and critical minerals. Against this backdrop, Altris’ inclusion on the Global Cleantech 100 underscores the strategic importance of sodium-ion technology in building a more secure, sustainable, and resilient battery value chain – one that reduce reliance on scarce minerals and strengthens European supply security.

“Being named to the Global Cleantech 100 is a recognition of the focused work our team and partners are doing to build a smarter and more resilient battery ecosystem. By advancing sodium-ion technology using a fully European value chain, we want to reduce dependency on scarce materials and create conditions for long-term growth”, says Christer Bergquist, CEO of Altris.

Altris continues its mission to commercialize sodium-ion battery technology, enabling a better battery at scale and supporting the transition to a more secure and sustainable energy future.
